New Opel Grandland
Creates Turkish Delight
After the successful international media launch of the new Opel Grandland Electric and Grandland Hybrid last autumn, more and more markets are now welcoming the award-winning SUV to their country.
In Türkiye, the newcomer attracted a huge amount of interest from local media, dealers and B2B customers which bodes well for the largest member of the Opel SUV family. 2025 started with a major bang for the team at Opel Türkiye. The team around Yigit Yantac, General Manager of Opel Türkiye, celebrated the local launch of the new Opel Grandland Electric and the new Opel Grandland Hybrid.
With over 160 journalists and influencers along with over 250 representatives from dealerships and B2B customers in attendance, the newcomer took to the GRAND stage and once again did not fail to impress. “Everybody is excited to see the new Opel Grandland here in Türkiye. Together with the new Mokka and the new Frontera, which celebrated its world premiere here in Istanbul, we have the youngest offer on the market – with the Grandland clearly positioned as Opel’s the top-of-the-line SUV,” says Yantac.

With over 400 guests, the newcomer took to the GRAND stage and once again did not fail to impress.
The multiple virtues of the newcomer are well documented. It impresses with its state-of-the-art technologies such as the award-winning and industry-leading Intelli-Lux HD light and with outstanding seating comfort guaranteed by the Intelli-Seat ergonomic feature which is on board as standard in all front seats. For those looking for even more comfort, the ‘Golden Steering Wheel 2024’ winner is also available with the ergonomic Intelli-Seat Pro certified by AGR (Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V.). Opel has further developed this seat and added new comfort features. In the Grandland, it has adjustable side bolsters for the first time. The two air cushions housed in the cheeks of the backrests improve lateral support and can be adjusted according to personal preferences. In addition, the driver and front passenger seats offer ventilation as well as various massage programmes and many more features.
“Ergonomic seats, driver assistance systems and class-leading lighting technology are synonymous for Opel. The new Grandland showcases these elements perfectly. Combined with the electrified drivetrains, the spaciousness and the new cockpit, this exciting SUV will certainly attract new customers – both fleet and private,” continues Yantac.
Following the official launch on the stage at the Rixos Hotel in Istanbul, the participants could explore the newcomer in the Opel experience area. This area also showcased the new Opel showroom concept, providing attendees with the opportunity to explore the new Grandland in detail.
“Ergonomic seats, driver assistance systems and class-leading lighting technology are synonymous for Opel.”
“Opel’s new grand SUV, the showroom experience area and the event location ensured that the launch of the new Grandland was a major success. It attracted considerable attention and interest from key stakeholders in the automotive industry. We are very optimistic that Opel’s new SUV trio with the Grandland, Frontera and Mokka will help us continue to deliver sustainable growth for the brand in Türkiye,” concludes Tuğçe Elenali, Marketing Communication Supervisor at Opel Türkiye.
