The plan for the future in the media
These are the most important aspects of the future plan: Opel/Vauxhall will go electric. All new models will have electrified versions and the company will become a true CO2 leader. Opel will go global: Overseas sales are planned to be doubled until 2020. By 2022, more than 20 new export markets will be entered. The Engineering centre will play a key role. All new Opel/Vauxhall vehicles will be engineered in Rüsselsheim. Global competence centres for the complete Groupe PSA will be allocated here.
The company wants to keep and modernize every single plant in Europe. The allocation of new powertrains in Opel/Vauxhall manufacturing sites will accompany the shift from GM to Groupe PSA engines and gearboxes. And: The Rüsselsheim plant will get a new D-Segment vehicle and we will produce an SUV in Eisenach.
