MARCH 2014 Opel will be continuing to sponsor the German Bundesliga until at least 2016. Alongside its role as official automobile and premium partner, Opel will also be sponsoring top teams like Borussia Dortmund, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, 1. FSV Mainz 05, and SC Freiburg. Contracts with Borussia Dortmund and 1. FSV Mainz 05 have been in place for some time, while those with Bayer 04 Leverkusen and SC Freiburg were renewed before they expired. The partnership with the second division team, Fortuna Düsseldorf, is due to end in the summer.
