The Opel Astra Electric Sports Tourer has been chosen as the “Electric Car of the Year 2025” (EVCOTY) in Finland. The competition, organised annually by the Association of Electrical Engineering – SIL (Sähköinsinööri – SIL ry), aims to look at cars through the eyes of the consumer. The jury consists of local experts of the EV and electrical engineering field. Arguments for Astra Electric ST were great practicality, reasonable price, low consumption, low road noise and first and foremost: being an ordinary car. The jurors especially liked the fact that it was easy to jump in the Astra and just get going. Also the jury pointed out that the low consumption of Astra Electric ST will bring benefits at every fast charge.
